Below is a description and routing from Redhill Aerodrome
Our most popular tour starts with a flight across the Surrey countryside as you turn north towards Central London. After flying over the crowded M25 traffic you head for the famous Epsom Race Course. As you enter the London Heathrow Zone you will track the A3 past Wimbledon and Richmond Park heading towards the arch of Wembley Stadium.
Before you get that far north you swoop right to join the River Thames passing Craven Cottage and the Chelsea Football Club. On the north bank will be Chelsea Harbour and on the south bank Battersea Power Station looms. From this advantage point you can clearly see Hyde Park, The Royal Albert Hall and the private gardens at the rear of Buckingham Palace. Just past the left hand bend in the river and Vauxhall Bridge are the Houses of Parliament on one side and the Millennium Eye on the other.
You are now in the very Centre of London with sights coming thick and fast. Trafalgar Square is quickly followed by Horse Guards, St Paul's, The Globe Theatre, The City, The Tower of London, HMS Belfast and Tower Bridge. Just as you think that the sites are coming to an end, look to the left and the Olympic Stadium is clear to see. Not far behind is Canary Wharf, The O2 Dome, City Airport and The Thames Barrier.
As you turn south at the Isle of Dogs you have a fantastic view of the whole of London. You are now flying over Greenwich Park, The Royal Naval College and The Royal Observatory. As you continue south on the right is Crystal Palace and then Croydon City Centre. South of Croydon the Surrey countryside returns and you are nearly home after one of the best experiences of your life.
